WCW – Word Crush Wednesday

Matthew 5:13

Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour; wherewith shall it be salted? It is henceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under the foot of men.

When I was growing up, the name of our church youth group was “The Salteens”. Our youth group leader worked tirelessly to convince us, the youth, that if we were going to survive this life we must have spice, a zeal for God. That same zeal Jesus had. We should be consumed by it. Everything we do should be for an everlasting record in our accounts toward heaven.

My husband and I are teaching this same curriculum to our children. Be a child but also be a scholar. Never let the world tell you more about their god than you tell them about yours. The world may offer an assortment of cheap seasoning, but you’ve got prime spice, a sincere zest powered by enthusiasm for the kingdom. That’s true flavor. Therefore, on this beautiful wwc, let me encourage you to start your day with pizzazz. Be confident. Be fearless. But most importantly, be bold. And do it all for the kingdom.
