Day#29 of the 30-Day Vegan Journey

This 30-day vegan journey is twenty-four hours short of concluding. How bittersweet! I’m sitting here reminiscing on day one and reflecting on how awkward it felt that morning not following my usual routine of setting a few eggs to boil while flipping a few flapjacks in the pan. Suddenly, my morning was overtaken by a bowl of fresh fruit, organic whole grain oats and a glass of almond milk. Life without an egg? Operation termination of the vegan journey was about to be in full effect day one. But, I couldn’t let down my fellow newly dairyless devotees. I’m glad I

Day#28 of the 30-Day Vegan Journey

Excitement is in the air! We have just two days remaining in this 30-day vegan journey. I’d start it all over again. Actually, a couple of days ago I hinted as to whether I’d continue beyond the 30 days in this journey. I’ve made a decision. I will. With the encouragement and accompany of my husband and children, this vegan journey will continue indefinitely. My body hasn’t felt this healthy since prior to giving birth to my sons. I guess after two and half years of fluctuating weight and hormones, veganism has given it some relief. Our ancestors were right,

I feel amazing. Honestly, I do! You should too. However, I must admit I almost caved a few times. Being a vegan is pretty easy these days, as almost every town and city has health food stores and vegetarian-friendly restaurants – Moby We are officially in the homestretch of this 30-day vegan journey with just seven days remaining. Amazing. Honestly, with the exception of wanting to lick the sauce right off someone’s hand whenever I see pizza, this journey has been a cinch. For sure, I thought I’d fall off the wagon the first week.  Pizza and pasta are my nemeses. But I’ve hung in there and so have you. In just a few short days we’ll be certified, vegan that

Can you believe just three short weeks ago you dared to commit to altering your life for 30 days? That’s right, twenty-one vegan days have officially gone by and you haven’t bailed on your commitment to this 30-day vegan journey. Kudos! There’s an old saying that it takes 21-days to break a habit and the same to create a new one. That theory has been tested, I’ve tested it and I believe it to be true. And if you’ve yet to cheat, that’s means you concur. I also wanted to remind you all of the importance of portion size. You

Howdy vegan folks! We’re over the hump of this 30-day vegan journey and on to another vegan Thursday. You don’t have to tell me how you feel after today’s workout. I’m sure I’ll hear about it in my inbox tomorrow. Ha! Don’t quit! Your body is appreciating every moment of this journey and will demonstrate it beautifully when you try on those pair of jeans you’ve hidden in the never again section of your closet. Day#16 Of The 30-Day Vegan Journey

Evening all! It’s time to use the “E” word. That’s right, exercise! I’ve purposely refrained from discussing it until we reached the half way point of this 30-day vegan journey. For some of us this new journey is like culture shock, but to body. Depriving your body of meat products is trauma enough. But to add the omission of dairy to the struggle is down right disturbing. I understand. However, wouldn’t it be a journey on a grander scale if your body was fit as well? I think so. You can start by walking. Walking is the easiest and safest form
