Good afternoon guys and gals. This post serves as a friendly reminder about tomorrow. That’s right! Tomorrow is V-Day, our 30-day journey towards veganism.
Today, I packed up the kids and took a little excursion over to the natural foods market, Earth’s Origins Market. I wanted to let you all in on a few items that are on my grocery list.
This is a plant-based diet. So, I loaded the cart down with fruits and vegetables, organic of course. Going the organic way is important for me because I don’t like to be concerned about consuming odd chemicals and insecticides found on most produce you find at the grocery store. I also bought loads of beans for protein, a few vegan protein shakes, and most importantly, vitamins. You must take your vitamins. Vitamins help your body perform like a fine tuned automobile. I take a vegan whole food vitamin along with a vegetarian coenzyme b-complex. Some people don’t care to go the whole foods way. That’s fine. But we’re shooting for ultimate health here and I personally feel like whole food supplements are the better way to go. We’ll pursue this further on another post.
I also bulked up on water. No need to expound on that, just drink lots of it.
