I don’t normally ball. But when I do, I do it on a budget! Like most work from home moms, after a week spent wiping noses and butts, sweating over a pot of spaghetti or whatever else, and doing the waltz with the broom and the mop around the house, it’s time for some retail therapy!

This past weekend my husband and I loaded up the kids and journeyed out across the city to create a few timely treasured moments for the scrapbook. We hit one of our old stumping grounds, The Pinellas Square Mall; now currently named The Shoppes At Park Place.

Of course after 45 minutes of travel the kids were ready to eat everything in sight, including the hand that feeds them. So, we meandered over to one of our favorite eateries, BJ’S; where the avocado rolls are to kill for. But this post isn’t about food so I’ll carry on.

I broke the first cardinal rule of shopping: DO NOT EAT OR DRINK before trying on clothes or shoes. But who cared! I left the house with retail on my mind and darn it I was leaving that mall with a sweet find. And to my pleasure, after completely stuffing ourselves with avocado goodness, we made our way to the castle where every queen wants to spend the rest of her days:  THE SHOE WAREHOUSE! I walked in and my inner desire for just one more cute pair of stilettos screamed, “Lo! Clearance!” And oh the joy I found in clearance that day. Not only did they have clearance marked up to 70% off, they were marking off an additional 20% at the register. I found salvation again in the cutest pair of Jessica Simpsons! Ladies, here’s my cute fashionable find:
