I threw strike on the kitchen today during this vegan journey. Daddy was barely pulling into the driveway as me and the kids were making a sprint to the family mobile. My words, “Get me to some food and get me there fast!” Chuckling, daddy loaded us in and straightway drove us to sustenance. Tonight we’re doing some midweek vegan dining out.
Vegan falafel and dolmas were on tonight’s menu and oh how delightful they were. I’m definitely placing them in the must order again column. We don’t make it a habit of eating out frequently. But, sometimes moms just need a break from the kitchen.
–My quick Tips to eating out vegan–
- Check via google if the restaurant of choice has an online version of the menu
- Call ahead and make a vegan reservation. This prepares the cook.
- Ask immediately if the restaurant has dairy free items on the menu or if any items on the menu can be made to order without dairy.
It’s always necessary to be prepared than to get where you thought you wanted to eat only to be disappointed. Happy vegan eating.
